Seriously?! ::UPDATE::

Should it not be in some code of conduct that an OB/GYN is not allowed to say the following to an infertile:

"It will happen when you least expect it. As soon as you give up the stress."

Seriously?! Is that not the equivalent of, "Relax"? Granted, he qualified it after I called him on it, but still... Really? Relax... from the doc? Whatever.

Apparently, statistics are good that DH and I will get preggo because we are both responding to the meds. This was the reasoning for the above comment. Understandable but it didn't make it any easier to hear.

Oh well.

And............... Not pregnant?

I thought I should update the way my OB actually explained things to me before people think he is a complete jerk.

I love my Gyn. I love the fact that while we are doing the tests we can talk about everything from my testing to Survior (3 years ago, it was so funny). He really puts me at ease and is very proactive.

After asking him if he was seriously telling me to relax, he said, oh no, and apologized. He then stated that he was referring to the fact that we were both really responding to meds, statisically, odds are in our favor. (as stated above) That is one less thing for us to worry about so it will take away some of the stress which will in turn help me relax a little (mentally). He did admit that it will take medical intervention, too.

Does this make him a little less of a butt?

That's complete BS especially from an OB. If there is a good chance that you'll get pregnant, it will be thanks to the meds not the relaxation. Arrrggghhh!

Totally infuriating! It's a good thing you like him. I'm sorry there wasn't a good surprise today, but it's great you're both responding. That's one hurdle you can put behind you.
