When Friends Leave

I lost a friend over the weekend ('breakup', not death) and I am still not exactly how it imploded in a matter of hours.

The "death" of the friendship has been lingering since last year and last Friday the respirator was removed and it flat lined.

I wish I could say I was sadder than I am, but I am not. It was actually a relief. I hate to admit that one out loud, too.

I want to write a long letter and explain why I feel the way I do, but I really don't think that it will make any difference and I really don't think I want it to.

Tammy,
This just happened to me as well. I too wanted to write a long letter and I did in my head many many times. I guess I just got to the point of, it won't do any good, as well. I want it to help. I want it to help her and myself but in my heart I know it won't. So I didn't. I feel for you and once again, know what you are going through. Shoot me a line if you want to chat!
