Tomorrow is 8 years of marriage for DH and I. Little did I know that we would still be DINKs.
Tomorrow also marks 5 years of TTC. 5 years, 60 months, 38 cycles.
Tomorrow should bring joy since we made it past the 7 year itch.
Tomorrow should be a celebration but I don't feel it.
Tomorrow is one more year has passed us by and still no pidder patter of little feet. (um... make that non-fur covered feet.)
Tomorrow is just one more reminder of the failure to have a child.
Can I just skip tomorrow?

Happy anniversary to you and your husband.
May the pitter patter come one way or another, soon.
Sending you lots of (((Hugs))), Tam. I hope you have a happy anniversary despite the crap sandwich life has handed you in terms of children.
Maybe we can turn the "Tomorrow"s around a bit and the spin would help ..
Tomorrow marks 8 years of a beautiful marriage to a man you love dearly. You have learned, by still being DINKS, just how much love you have for one another, from the support you must show.
Tomorrow marks 5 years of ttc. And only recently have you learned most of the pieces of the puzzle. You have learned specifics, making the next step of ttc that much more "known". The ttc light has been turned on.
Tomorrow is the end of the 7 year itch. And even though you may not feel full of joy with all aspects of your situation - look at your husband and smile and allow yourself to feel the joy you have been bringing to one another for these 7 years.
Tomorrow may not be a celebration cause you don't feel like it. BUT, tomorrow, you can have a silent, even personal celebration, within your own heart when you think about just how much you love him.
Tomorrow is another year where there is no pitter patter of little feet. But there is pitter patter of the feet of two people who love eachother so much - who have eachother for right now.
Tomorrow is a reminder the journey for a child has failed so far. But tomorrow marks the fact you have a game plan with the added insight that this IS a possible task.
Don't skip tomorrow. Allow tomorrow to be the first day of this next leg of the journey. The leg when to answers to questions are known. Where there is more "hope". Real hope.
Tomorrow can be a good day.
Happy Anniversary! Congratulations on making it this far. Celebrate the fact that IF has not pulled you two apart. IF can be tough on a couple, and you two are still together. I think that is something to celebrate.
Treat yourself special and celebrate your commitment to each other.
Oh Tam!!! Great big hugs for your anniversary, I hope it turns out to be a very happy one for you.
I know how much the anniversaries & the passing ofthe years hurts- my heart goes out to you hon. I can only hope that you get that pitter patter really soon!
((hugs)) Happy Anniversary....I 2nd what Nancy said ;-)
Happy Anniversary Anyway.
I hope it finds it’s self to better than you thought.
I loved Nancy's reply, There is a song that I think of in times like these, It's called Hallelujah. There are many lyrics to that song, and many versions sung, the artist picks their favorite, but I've not heard of one artist singing all the lyrics to that song.
With that said (from the best of my knowledge) Nancy’s reply reminded me of that song, to which I frequently add my own lyrics, not through a rhyme or even words, but just a feeling of hallelujah, one of my favorite parts is where it says -
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold, it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Life hurts so bad sometimes, but when we look at what we have around us, the people who get us through, or the love and support we have from our spouse, or just the simple fact that we have someone to go through shit with, sometimes my heart sings Hallelujah, Hallelujah that I'm not alone, Hallelujah that I have someone to fight with, Hallelujah that we are still together through all this.
Ok, enough of my song "Hallelujah Right?" lol, j/k.
But its a meaningful day, whether or not we like all the meaning's today brings, I hope you find happiness and peace in it.
Happy anniversary!!!
Thank you girls for all your kind words. I appreciated it more than you know.
Nancy (and Katie by proxy)... um, you aren't supposed to make a girl cry... ;o) I needed that, thank you.
